Jamal Robinson was born in Dayton, Ohio and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. With a passion for sports, he grew up playing soccer and basketball. While attending school at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, he would get the opportunity that would change his life.

While in school, Jamal designed a clothing line for women ranging from swimsuits to t-shirts. With this opportunity, it opened Jamal’s eyes and gave him first hand experience into the fashion industry.

Jamal’s passion for fashion continued when he began putting Swarovski crystals onto the lenses of his sunglasses. Wearing the uniquely designed sunglasses at nighttime, people began to take notice.

In 2008, Desiar Eyewear was born and Jamal has never looked back. Using his passion for creativity and vision for the company he has taken it from a unique idea and turned it into a full fledge brand.

Jamal is the Chairman of Believe In A Dream, Inc. a non-profit organization focusing on enhancing the youth of the world in areas such as mathematics & sciences, business education and the performing arts. He is also a founding member of A Better Fort Charitable organization, which raises awareness for young adults to get involved in his hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
